PROJECT: O'NEILL

Just picture it. A world where things like money, power and greed no longer exist, where the betterment of the human race is a person’s only drive.

Be him a scientist or farmer, every single person in this nation would play his or her part, no matter how small, to achieve this goal.

Prejudice would be next to nothing, everyone would be treated exactly the same as everyone else, everyone would have exactly the same status in this grand scheme.

And I want to make it a reality.

But where could I build such a nation? I fear Earth may not be ready for such a…complicated concept

No, this nation I envision has no place among the powers of the world,

I see this nation set amongst the stars, an O’Neill Cylinder, thirty kilometres long, three kilometres in diameter, a shining beacon for humanity’s future.

And so, I am going to try and make this dream a reality, and by the end of my lifetime, I hope to see at least one of these Cylinders constructed and populated, and setting example for any who still live on this planet’s surface.

But I have to start small, for this is only the beginning.

I am not a cult. I don’t want your money. But I do want to know if there are others who agree with me, or who would want to help me pursue my dream.

I bear forewarning however, that nothing is certain. Nothing may come of this endeavour, but unless we try, we will never know, will we?

I will upgrade this site with various info on what it would take to construct a Cylinder, but for now, I hope I have peaked your interest, and that you will return as this site progresses
